The Center for the Collective Use of Scientific Equipment “Interdepartmental Laboratory Center for Teaching and Research” (ILC) operates at I. Horbachevsky Ternopil National Medical University.
MORE ABOUT US >The principal mission of the ILC is to support doctoral and dissertation research, grant-funded projects and preclinical studies. We carry out fundamental and applied research aimed at generating new scientific knowledge and translating it into the practice of healthcare institutions and medical education.
In 2026, ILC staff published 13 papers in first-quartile (Q1) journals indexed in Scopus and Web of Science.
The Center hosts the only Center for the Study of Lyme Borreliosis in Ukraine and other tick-borne infections. It carries out molecular genetic, serological and parasitological diagnostics.
Prof. Oleksandr Kamyshnyi leads two projects: a National Research Foundation of Ukraine grant on the restoration of limb function in military personnel (2026–2028) and a Ukrainian–Norwegian project on healthy nutrition in schools.
TNMU Professor Liliya Logoyda received a NATO SPS Program grant (2023–2026) for the project “Wearable Smart Patches for Multimodal Wound Healing” (DRESWOUTRE).
All TNMU research laboratories are equipped with modern instrumentation and have passed certification (certificate No. 182/23).
The Center has 3 sectors (clinical, experimental and clinical, and morphological research) and 2 separate specialized laboratories.
Our measurements range from general clinical and biochemical assays to flow cytometry, electron microscopy and the polymerase chain reaction.
The Center’s research activities and its material and technical resources are funded from the state budget and from University funds.
